The wood is aged
with cracks and lines,
and the saggingbranches
weep.
Their protective limbs
provide the place wherecuriosity
sleeps.
With tiny fingers,
tiny toes,
and eyeslike
morning skies,
the dwarf-like monkeys
perch right here,
on barkthat's old and wise.
