The sun on my face
Your hand in my hand
The blue skies above
As our feet touch the sand
The waves on the shore
The salt in the breeze
Makes the day last
With a feeling of ease
The early sunrise
And late night sunset
And all the long days
That we’ll never forget
Life’s too much fun
At this time of year
Can’t let this end
Please don’t disappear
I hope these days last
And they do for now
Did I live before this?
I can’t imagine how.
For now I relish these days
Of sweet summer sunshine
And when they come to a close
They’ll still be on my mind.
