The rage in his eyes defies the cage
Hate takes center stage
He tries to make the best
Pass all of the tests
The world throws at him
His outlook on life is dim
Tells himself he is not quite done
But he he knows no more fun, no more sun
Thinks where will things be in ten more years
All his fears
Seep up from the earth
All their girth
Start to break his back
His mind begins to crack
Eventually the anger all subsides
The fire in his heart slowly dies
He turns over a new page
And accepts that he is locked in a cage
