I remember
the icy feeling
the disbelief,
they had to be lying
No words were spoken
but the looks on their
faces told me;
my grandma was gone
Tears fell unnoticed
as I gasped for
air not realizing
I had stopped breathing.
Only one thought came to mind
She had left me.
