I turn the knob
slowly, it opens
my glistening outfit
sparkles
cheers erupt
one blade out
and the other
my right foot pushes
to get a head start
music
is surrounding me
I twirl to the center
I see my breath
in the cool, fresh air
I stop
and push again
my arms glide
I spin
faster and faster
a figure eight
a fast jump
I bend
and twirl
into a bow
the song ends
applause
I am
skating
