Storm Warning
The clouds were dark as they circled the sky.
They had hidden a secret,
The rain whipped by.
The world grew darker; some looked on in wonder,
The bright forks of light,
The loud, booming thunder.
Wide eyes and scared faces were all that was there.
Warning, tornado!
The newscaster announced on the air.
Caught in the middle, what could be done?
Water surrounding,
There was no place to run!
Fast as lightning, back to solid ground.
Moving quickly,
Hearts start to pound.
Finally found shelter, safety at last.
Fears soon forgotten,
The storm has passed.
