The guys, the girls, and the BFF's

The pressure, the peers ,

The cliques and the parties.

The clothes and the sports,

The after-school jobs,

Getting your license,

And your first car, the SAT,

Your first kiss, and your first breakup,

The players, the losers, the cheerleaders, the nerds and jocks,

The goths, the rockers, and preps,

The hotties, The sooooo not's

The prom, the college applications.

The risks, the dares, your GPA.

Pulling “all nighters”,

The classes,

Trig, Calc, & Chem.

Your “Sweet Sixteen”.

In with the “in” crowd, or out with the “out” crowd,

Following your own morality,

With the tough stuff like alcohol, sex, and drugs,

Listening to your parents that one time,

Being true to yourself,

Your best guy friends, your best friend forever,

your family, your boyfriend, or girlfriend, & the kid next door,

'Cuz now's what matters, live in today- not last year,

You are the Star of the goods and the bads, the greats, and the terribles.

You are the Star of your own “Teenagerhood”

So make it last forever,

In your eyes and heart,

Do the unexpected, take that scary risk,

Don't forget to love your life, with its ups and downs,

Relish and love your “Teenagerhood”.
