This Quiet House
In this quiet southern county
Sits a quiet little street
On this quiet little street
Sits a quiet house.
This house is quiet
But has not always been
One day a lady runs out
Screaming “he is killing us!”
She means her son
Her young son Arthur
Ever since that day
The house has been quiet
When people die
Carried out quietly
He never leaves
That quiet house
Arthur “Boo” Radley
Curious children attempt
To make him leave
That quiet house
As it sits there
Without a sound
Without a sight
Without a light
But none but one
Little scout finch
Could make him leave
The quiet house
On this quiet little street
In this quiet southern county
