It’s time to take flight
Spread your wings spite all that’s gone wrong
You say you didn’t care
But now everyone knows, and you’re running scared

We started with a hug and a kiss
But now we have to forget all this
I took control, showing how I felt
Trying to keep you under my belt

You decided to go, go on without me
Now I sit alone under the stars above me
Wishing you was here to somehow make it right
But some things never change, and I don’t feel so bright

I let it happen again, once more
I finally got there and you shut the door
My face grew cold and my hands began to shake
And now my heart is cracking as in an earth quake

The door stands out fro mall the rest
People look and need to digest
All that’s happened, all that’s gone wrong
But I realize, this is where I belong

I set aside my feelings, now and forever more
Now the only place left to go, is out the back door
The door closes, remaining sealed
Looking for someone to meet its appeal

Waiting in its place, it stands alone
And now everyone can see the closed door

This may come in the form of a poem, but it is much more than that. It's a story, an event, a lifetime experience. It happens to be accurate to every little detail and will hit home to others just as much as it hits me.
