Lone Wolf
What Am I?
Are we truly just flesh and bone, or are we some thing greater?
Is my soul purpose to wander the world,
Like a lone wolf?
Staggering between ponderosa pines ponder my existence?
As I advance on a exploration of self discovery
Searching for my true meaning.
My independence is both a gift and a curse
I would give anything to be alone no longer,
Yet I know that this is solely my quest
Convinced that there is a reason I am alone.
And that life is a more profound mystery than we perceive.
We live not being concerned about anything
Except the present,
but sometimes I feel like a lone wolf howling at the moon.
So I ask you,
What Am I?
