Fire

With smoke
And fire
The flame continues
In remembrance of those
Who lived,
Lived a life of goodness
Hope, sorrow, passion, greed,
A life no different than our own.
But now they are gone
Taken, sabotaged, hopeless,
Martyred all because
They lived.
And this flame burns,
A beacon of light, of hope
Of grief, of sorrow,
In memory of those
Who lived.
