The Nothing

The Nothing
As I lay it hits me
Consuming my entire body
Gasping for air I reach out
For the nothing that surrounds me
For the nothing that is inside of me
I try to see through my glazed eyes
I see the nothing,
And it sees me
I can struggle and squirm
But still can’t feel the glass in my back
I resume for hours
Or was it mere minutes?
Until I can feel
Anything but nothing
