If you look into my eyes
What do you see?
Coldness, darkness, and apathy
Or someone misunderstood,
Lost in time.
If you gaze out at the ocean,
What do you feel?
Fear, for the danger in the tumultuous waters
Or awe at the crystalline purity
That lies before you.
If you listen to the chirps of a bird,
What do you hear?
Some incessant twittering,
Or a sweet melody,
Hidden away for you to discover.
