Senior Year
I am a product of a slave,
My mother’s joy,
I have made it to the end,
It is almost time,
To enter the next decade or so of my life.
As I turn the page,
I am moving on,
So many lessons learned,
So many days have gone.
I will miss my friends but I know they are going to do their best,
On graduation day, I will try not to cry and wish them their best.
During my last few days in town I will pack and prepare for the rest of my life,
This will be my moment to shine,
I will not look back or let anyone hold me back.
Senior year is almost hear,
It is time.
