Ladybug
Sitting in the park on a sunny day
I was thinking of you when
I noticed a ladybug
That found its way into the
Locks of my hair
You stayed there for only a moment
Just long enough to admire you
But not long enough to tell you
Not long enough to take you in
Because then you flew away
Now I find myself missing you
Even though I’ve got no reason
You’re just another beautiful ladybug
But somehow you’ve managed to stay
Within the sinews of my mind
Come back, please, ladybug
I wish you could have stayed
But I know I need to let go
Tomorrow’s another day.
