They walk among us lost in the crowd,
They try to speak but we're too loud,

They begin to fade into the background,
Where they are silent and make no sound,

Everyday they beg for a bit of guidance,
but they are pushed to the back and silenced,

They are looking for your helping hand,
one that can lead them and help them stand,

You want to offer it but you don't really care,
after you complain you weren't warned or aware,

That a later date,
was just too late,

You say you're sorry and you really are,
but face it you can't erase this deadly scar,

So next time someone calls your name,
Reply at once! So that you're not to blame.
