Longing for the sweet escape,
When will this nightmare end?
Monotony piercing into the inner sanctum of my heart,
I know the melodious sound is near.

Slaving over meticulous tasks seems futile.
I long to see the incandescent smile of the sun.
Why am I confined to these pale walls?
Nature in its vast beauty is longing for my affection.
The melodious sound I know is near.

Seven assiduous hours have I spent,
Wondering when I will be set free!
Free to roam!
Free to adventure!
Near is the melodious sound I know!

Ding, bonnnnnnng!
Finally, school is out!
