Finally, the train halted and we filed off,
I couldn’t help noticing how many children would cough.
It was a brutal journey, few had survived,
Little did we know, to our death we had arrived.

At once soldiers glared at us and split us in two lines,
They didn’t make a single noise, just pointed as if they were mimes.
One spoke and said to undress, for we’d be taking a shower,
Little did we know, it would be our final hour.

We were forced into a room, and gas poured in,
Death was upon us, we had made it to the end.
They cut our hair for rope, and our bodies were tossed,
Little did we know, we were part of the Holocaust.
