There for you

You’re not alone,
Yet no one hears you crying.
They’re there for you,
Yet no one cares.
It will get better,
But it never does.
Does it seem strange,
The things they say,
But never do?
And many empty promises,
Meant to give you hope.
But there are those out there,
So much worse off than you.
You need help,
But you are told to get over it.
Because you aren’t really,
Abused, betrayed, or alone.
Your feelings betray you.
Or so they say.
But you feel abused.
And alone.
You feel lost.
Yet no one thinks there is anything wrong,
Because no one cares enough to listen.
They think you only want attention.
So you give up.
You reason with yourself,
If no one cares enough to listen,
I do not care to speak.
You hold it inside,
And you let it rot.
It just digs you deeper,
Circular reasoning,
With no end.
It never gets you anywhere.
So you aren’t abused, betrayed, or alone,
But there are different kinds of pain.
Physical, mental, emotional pain.
No, you aren’t beaten,
By the man next door.
No, you don’t hear voices,
And see faces in the dark.
But worst of all is the emotional pain,
Raging a storm within you.
Slowly eating you,
From the inside out,
Killing you.
You need help,
But is anyone willing to lend a hand?
You need to speak,
But is anyone willing to listen?
I’m here my friend,
I care about you.
I care about who you are,
And what you are going through.
You aren’t alone.
I’m here for you.
And when you feel alone,
And lost,
I’ll lend a hand,
To help.
To listen.
I’ll be there,
I’ll be there for you.
