Growing up,
Is mandatory,
Not optional,
You must accept it,
Love it,
Or resent it.
You really have no other choice.
The hardest concept
To grasp
About growing up
Is that it began before you even knew it,
It hasn’t stopped,
And you can’t go back.
I’m not quite sure
About growing up.
Sometimes I demand to grow up,
Sometimes I refuse to grow up,
Sometimes I yearn to grow up,
I guess my opinion doesn’t matter anyhow,
There isn’t anything I can do about it.
