YOU CAN’T WRITE A POEM ABOUT HOTDOGS

MORNING THE ONLY THING I WANT IS A HOTDOG
THE SHINEY STICK OF MEAT THAT SMELLS GOOD
I WALK PAST THE LAKE WHERE PEOPLE ARE SWIMMING
PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT HOTDOGS
I AM GOING CRAZY
I FEEL DIZZY AS I STAGGER MY WAY TO THE HOTDOG STAND
I AM THERE THREE PEOPLE FROM THE FRONT
EVERYTHING SMELLS LIKE HOTDOGS
I TAKE ADEEP BREATH AND PASS OUT
WHEN I WAKE I AM NEXT TO TWO HOTDOGS AND I AM IN HEAVEN

INTRODUCTION TO POETRY

i ask them to try just put on some skates
fall on their butts just once
your butt will be ok because you’ll have pads
your tailbone will hurt a bit but not for long
just promise me you’ll get up and try again
hockey is for everyone not just one
you need a team to win

FAMOUS

squirrels are famous to birds hiding in a birdhouse
the metal is famous to the tree that the birdhouse is on
the boot is famous to the earth under the tree
god is famous the the people of the earth
the trees are famous the the sky and the earth
i want to be famous to the clouds and rest in peace
i am famous for the love to my family

I AM THE WINGS OF A BUTTERFLY

i am the wings of a butterfly
i wonder what it feels like
i hear the flapping of my wings
i see the beautiful land below me
i want to soar
i am the wings of a butterfly

i pretend i can fly
i feel the wind in my face
i touch the clouds above me
i worry about falling
i cry about dying
i am the wings of a butterfly

i understand what life is
i say be the wind
i dream to find heaven
i try to touch the sky
i hope to be adventrious
i am the wings of a butterfly
