Sitting alone upon an ancient battle field,
Pondering events past and how all around came to be.
Feeling with sorrow of his scars he has come to receive;
Not just the jagged marks upon skin, but the deeper, left within.

He is prosecuted, hunted, and loathed,
For the lone fact of his people’s past.
More than Fathers, Aunts, or Grands,
But Millennial of life, an entire race.
Blamed for the sins that condemned them all,
A never ending thirst for power and the evil ways obtained.

Yet here he sits, breaking his people’s banishment,
Doomed to eternity alone in a world that hates.
His will to make a better life, not for himself, but all those he meets and finds,
A Protector, a lover, a charitable soul, a changer of the world.
