What is it?
Something to send us spiraling
Deep into the depths of Hell?

Greed
Humans...
Why shall we want something
That we truly don't need?
Should we betray this sin...
Are we sent straight to Hell?
A natural urge...
Ignore it we cannot.

Lust
Desiring someone beyond love.
Yet is love not a type of desire?
We shall be sent
Into Hell's flames
For love?

Gluttony
We take more than we need.
This much is true.
Should we devour more
Than our share...
God gives us our punishment.

Envy
Yet another trait
That all humans share.
Needing, wanting...
Something that isn't ours.
Why we do this
I do not know...

Sloth
Deserting work.
Forgetting labor.
Perhaps taking a break.
Or merely deciding to be lazy.
This is sin.
In ways I do not understand...

Wrath
Anger gets the better of us.
More and more...
Revenge grows stronger by the day.
Vengeance gets the better of us.

Pride
What are humans
Without our pride?
Being arrogant, yes,
I can surely comprehend.
But is it not our pride
That makes us go on?

We sin without knowing.
We do it
Because it comes naturally.
Are we doomed
For these small, petty deeds?
God knows not petty.
He sees us....

As sinners, through and through.
