Sleep,
with eyes longing for closure.
Moments given up
to suffocate the heart,
burning against the softest touch.
For now we part.
For now we grasp the sunlight.

My beautiful hurricane
whisk me away,
drench me in solitary tears for tomorrow.
Drown the insecurities
beneath your intentions.
Knowing the past as hollow,
just let it be.
Your warmth
Your breath.
I allow my foot to slip.
I fall.
Catch me within your outstretched arms.
If my legs break,
To your voice I'll crawl.
