Life in a small town
Bottoms of my hands and feet
Both the color brown
Of coarse mud pie is our favorite treat.

Laying in the shade
Staying out of the sun
Lots of lemonade needs to be made
But only time for fun.

Spending days with the one you love
And nights looking at the stars
Wishing we were as free as a dove
Ready to run away in our cars.

Just me and him being together
Makes me want to stay here forever.

Hi. My name is Shelby . I wrote this within 20 minutes. My teacher wanted us to practice writing poetry because that is what we were learning about. This is about a boy who has my heart and I have his. His name is Jeremiah and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. 9-16-08! I love you kid.

The goal is not about living forever, the goal is about creating something that can.
