The spaces and cracks between you and I.
They stretch as far as the east is from the west.
Some say the sky is the limit, but I do not believe it is so.
Floating among the clouds, a fantasy coming alive.
Down on the ground, pain is passed. I cannot take it.
In dreams, you dance, graceful as angels.
The smile on your face is uplifting.
When I wake in the mid of the night, I notice the empty spot next to me.
Tears on covers, the moon's light shimmers through the window pane.
Thoughts of you elude my sight in the fog your leaving has created.
Bound by the clutches of fear, I fall to my knees. I pray.
Pray to God that my dreams are true.
That you still smile, dance among angels.
And I pray that your elegance may help soothe these wounds.
You are gone, I am alone.
Records are hung on the wall, all music you'd dance to.
Watching you on that stage for the first time, I fell in love.
And now, with a ring, a room, and a plethora of memories,
I pray to see your smile again,
And to watch you soar, while clouds dissipate under your feet.
I pray that someday,
I will fly up to where you are, pushing through the crowds,
To catch you if you fall.
To you, my love.
I go to the window, see a shooting star,
And know that it is merely you spinning across my sky.
