Could He Ever Love Me Again?
We talk,
We text,
We joke,
We laugh,
Could you ever love me again?
I think this over and over again:
When I see you,
Or think about how it used to be
(Which is all the time).
Each time I see you,
Each time we talk,
Each time we text,
Or joke,
Or laugh,
I hold back the question
That needs to be asked.
Is it the fear of embarrassment?
Or rejection?
So I think to myself:
Could he ever love me again?
