crying shoulder

alone and abandoned,
the child will kneel,
his spirit is dampened,
his feelings are real.

alone on the bedside,
he prays in God's name,
sobbing so hard,
it rattles his frame.

This child is crying,
the tears of the night,
his brother is dying,
he's bathed by the moonlight...

And now as he lay there,
his pulse will sway,
the child's dear brother,
is passing away.

Left nothing to hope for,
the child must pray,
to pray that his brother,
will see a new day.

But nothing is helping,
the brother has died,
the child is leaving,
with tears in his eyes...

I'll look once more sadly,
but at least now i know,
i know he'll be happy,
and we need to let go.

He'll not be forgotten,
we'll always have faith,
because now he's in heaven,
He'll always be safe.
