When I Was Little.

By , Acton, MA
When I was little,
I ran about

With no worries in the world

I wanted to grow up and be a queen

I wanted to see the world.

My daddy always said to follow your dreams.

I wasn’t sure what to think.

I wanted to grow up and to play dress up

And let my price charming find me.

I wanted to have kids

And help them through life,

Even though I wouldn’t dare
Let them pick up a knife.

As I grew up, I protected them with all
My might,
I would stay up all night.
And Dream about sunlight.

Now when I lay back in bed,
I think what a dream
That I had.

I remember what my daddy said
And I realize
I could be a queen
Or anything….
