Today is the Day
Today is the day I will be okay.
No more pushing it off. I have to try.
I know it’ll be hard, but I’ll make a way.
I’ll go to the Lord, close my eyes and pray.
Perhaps that’ll keep my eyes nice and dry.
Today is the day I will be okay.
I’ll fight real hard to keep my mind at bay.
To think of nicer things as time goes by.
I know it’ll be hard, but I’ll make a way.
I’ll paint my skies blue, to cover the gray
And water my flowers, so they won’t die.

Too long I’ve been without a happy day.
Perhaps I can fake it, and live a lie.
I know it’ll be hard, but I’ll make a way.
I’ll do what I can, however I may.
Fighting for happiness is worth a try.
