An object of luster that clings to my neck,
To signify how he meant every peck.
A sweet wish fulfilled on a special day,
I was at a loss for words, I didn't know what to say.
As the intertwined hearts ride faithfully on and on,
They set and are held by a golden chain while he is gone.
The outer and golden heart represents strength and stability,
While the inner diamond heart represents the precious love and fragility.
He asked me with a smirk to open the glovebox ,
I wasn't prepared when I saw several clear and dazzling rocks.
He told me “Happy Birthday babe” and I thought I might cry,
The only thing was; no tears came , it didn't matter how hard I may try.
The important thing is that it never will never leave my grasp,
And I know he is thinking of me when I see the little clasp.

This is a simple, not deep into the water poem. I have my very special someone who gave me a beautiful necklace I wear day in, day out on my sweet sixteen and every time the small clasp comes to the front of the necklace, I think of the silly cliche of somebody is thinking about you. If that's tru, it's always him...because I know I'm thinknig about him.
