Tears

Tears of anguish gather inside
They are the ones I never cry.
They grow stronger every year
Because they know they must shout over every cheer.
Stronger they force against the dam inside
Pounding against it, knowing that I lied.
They don’t push so hard that they are let out
Because they know once their gone I’ll never cry again.
So tears of anguish lay inside
They are the tears I’ll never cry.
