There's a lump in your throat
What do you say?
You just came inside
After running home in the rain
What do you say?
You watch someone fall from far away
And you can't get there in time to help
What do you say?
The injured child looks at you
As she is carried into the hospital
What do you say?
You catch the eye of a wolf
While you are out in the forest
What do you say?
Someone walks up to you
Tells you they love you
What do you say?
As you read over this
You are silent.
