Tonight
As I lay in my bed,
With the lights down low,
Cover over my head.
I let my muscles relax,
As a gently roll on my back.
I close my eyes and let my mind wander.
I begin to picture a whole different world.
Nothing like what I’m used to.
All the things that I want in my life come true in my dreams:
Friendships,
Money,
Joy,
Laughter,
And true love,
Are present in my dream life.
I picture myself on a tropical paradise,
Me and my friends.
No trouble,
No worries.
Laying in the warm sand,
Or playing in the water,
Here we find our soul mates,
And live happily ever after.
Until I am rudely awaken by that annoying device.
Only until tonight.
