Daughter Dearest
Daughter dearest,
For now you fit within the protection of my arms
but soon you will grow.
When you do,
Be sure to grow as strong as an oak
because the storms here are unforgiving.

Daughter Dearest is a series of poems about the advice I would like to pass on to my future children. For any children that is. It's main focus will speak of the things I wish I had knowledge of when I was younger. It is a breath of childhood innocence and the love of a parent because I do not believe it is spoken enough about.
