“I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, then it is beautiful. If not, it can't be helped.”

In there lies a man,
conquered by the beast within.
The man continues to cry out for help,
never knowing what he has become.
He yells out too angry at the world to care,
never realizing he is causing the world to run away from him.
His only salvation left,
and with her went the last of his humanity.

Didn’t she realize how much he cared,
how much he loved her?

The yells of anger and cries for help continue,
never stopping for anything.
The two sounds slowly mingle, becoming one.
Giving birth to an animalistic sound;
a howl of a wolf that lost it’s mate.
All he did was for her,
To protect,
To shield her from the cruel world.

‘Maybe she never knew,’ he though.
For he had never told her how much she meant to him.
Maybe she would still be here by his side,
if she realized how much he cared.
Maybe she would still be there,
if he had fought harder against the beast within.
