Some people work the best they can,

But then the check feels like a scam

Then the paychecks come in and you start to frown

Almost nothing now I feel like a clown

The wage you can pay gets abused

And we can’t make up what we lose

All we can do is accept our loss

And minimum wage is a line that is being crossed

This wage isn’t made for us to make a living

When they made this what were they believing

People tell us to get more knowledge

But I can’t make enough money for college

working for nothing is what it seems

The payment makes a good future nothing but dreams

Not only that, then comes tax

Takes too much and you can’t relax

rent comes in and takes a bunch

now I can barely afford my lunch

then bills come in and you might go into dept

now we work so hard we start to regret
