"I'm proud because I'm different,
Or, as some would say, 'unique.'
Butin your eyes I'm simply weird,
Therefore making me afreak."

"I'm glad that I'm intelligent
Instead of beingvain.
But just because I'm smart,
You classify me as abrain."

"I'm a cheerleader, I must admit
I scream until I'mhoarse.
But you assume that just because I cheer,
I'm failing everycourse."

"Okay, so I'm opinionated,
And maybe evenbold.
But just 'cause I'm unfriendly
Doesn't mean that I amcold."

"I am a jock, as some would say.
To me everything's asport.
But my knowledge does extend
Beyond the b-ballcourt."

"Just so you know, because I'm rich
Does not make mea snob.
But you think that I'm above you
Because I do not need ajob."

"I have a mom and I have a dad
And I have a step-dadtoo,
But you think that 'cause my family's broken
Means that I amtoo."

"I don't have many girls as friends,
Sometimes they'resuch a bore.
But just 'cause all my friends are guys,
You think that I'm awhore."

If I asked you who judged people,
You may say: "Oh,no! Not me!"
But in truth, it is the cruel eyes
Of oursociety.

We all feel the need to defend ourselves
At one time oranother,
And we all feel insecure sometimes
Because we judge eachother.

They try to tell us good and bad,
To make us think thesame.
And by focusing on differences
They give us each aname.

Labels are superficial -
Get to know who is inside.
And asfor what is wrong and right,
That's for you to decide.

Oh my gosh, I love this poem! Its so true, too. Even if we think we are nonjudgmental, everyone has judged someone at some point in thier life.
