Hyra and Evan land in Araameen, an alternate universe much like Medieval Europe, after falling into a ditch at their farm. A war is going on between the Lenthiens and the Rigets, and Egress, the leader of the Frélinhard, the rebellion, is in trouble. Hyra and Evan make their way to the city, traveling through the grasslands and the Mud Flats, only to find a bleak world.
