"Those who have the ability to act, have the responsibility to act."

Summary:

A man who has forgotten his name arrived in a city where he had no choice but to become a thief if he wanted to live. Every time he was caught stealing, the police would chase him, calling "Rat!" over and over again. Due to his lack of a regular name, he adopted the name Rat.
Rat went to live in the Tunnels, which is an enormous and elaborate maze of tunnels that run underneath the futuristic city of Maw. The unfortunate thing; that's where all of the gangs reside. Rat has no interest in joining a gang, so they don't exactly like him down there, but then again, they don't exactly like on the Surface either.

I love books, and I love technology, but I don't want to see the latter overwhelm the former. I just think books are meant to be pages you turn, not screens you scroll through.

I liked this book a lot! You used great writing techniques and I can really tell you thought hard about the way Rat would sound.

Keep up the good writing! :)

"Write what you love, write what you care about, because sometimes, it's the easiest way to be heard."

The first thing I noticed when I started reading was the voice of the character. You've really made Rat believable while there are still things I want to know about him. Also, great job at making such a vivid picture in both chapters. I was really able to follow as Rat went from scene to scene. The only thing that bothered me was that there are a lot of characters that I'm only getting glimpses of, but then again, I get the feeling that Rat is almost in a rush, so that might work. I'm hoping to see more soon! :)

I very much like this book, so far! It's intriguing.. for some reason I can't stop thinking of the movie "Flushed Away" when I read it, which is funny,  because the two really have nothing in common...
But I agree with Emiri in saying perhaps some more descriptions of each character and the location would truly make it all pop out like its own little world.. you know? Just a thought. Keep writing!

Okay dokey, I love the plot of this book. It's ingenius, one of those... i dunno, Hunger Game kind of things. I love distopias, and stories about gangs. But teh thing is, everyboyd talks the same, which doesn't help the individuality of each of your characters. I'd also like more detail, like how Dinner Alley looks and smells and if the tunnels are neat or if they snake around or intersect each other. Keep writing.

I love everything about this story! The character Rat, who is quite a lovable character; the plot, something fresh in my mind. It's perfect! Good job! :)

I really liked the voice you created for Rat. I think the story could go just about anywhere, and I hope you post the rest soon.  =)
