Eyes, eyes are the first thing the average person notices about someone. Like the color of a car, our eyes are either bright and bold or subtle and subdue. They make us stand out or fit in with the crowd. My eyes, are blue.  Blue, just blue. Not bright blue or light blue, just regular old blue. 

My eyes make me fit in, but that’s not the case for my blonde best friend Brenna. Brenna’s eyes are blue, not just blue. They are a bright, bold blue. As blue as the sky on a clear summer day.  They speak to me in a way that is so comforting and caring. Her eyes invite you to be her friend and engage in a kind conversation. They sparkle in the sunshine, but also brighten a gloomy midwinter day. Blue, blue like the color of oceans you see on postcards.  Oh how I envy those bold, brave blue eyes.
