Bubbles On A Hot Summer Day This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

   I stand on the porch

Today the world is a sweltering wilderness

I hear the hum of air conditioners

They sound like wild animals

Sweat covers all of my being

I open a container

And blow bubbles

They float away

An oasis of coolness

On a hot summer day.
