“Streetlights and Stars” by Patience K. shows that total different people can be the closest of friends.  The people in the story wore different clothes and listen to different music.  They may be different but they both understand each other when they talk about important things: family, friends, school, and politics.  Then she was talking about boys she liked and the friend said “But you have a boyfriend, Pay”.  The friend saying that made Pay feel bad but then she started talking about streetlights and stars.  I am not what that means, but I wish I did.  I think it means there is better things out there in life.
