a smile can hide a thousand liesl

Her body lay, floating along the surface of the water. Light watery streams of her dark red blood spilled out around her. Color draining from her face, leaving her to seem lifeless.

I lay on my branch, swinging my feet back and forth, listening to a calming melody. The blue jays chirpping, the water flowing, children laughing, and the wind blowing. I look down onto the lake, and I see her. Dark blonde hair, soaked with blood. Pale skin, growing translucent. I just couldnt help but wonder... I slip down the trunk of my tree, taking light careful silent steps towards the waters edge. A few of the pebbles with specks of red. I whisper to myself.

   "Her."
