Flowers hang from the ceiling to dry: hyacinths, foxglove, and lavender.

The smell of fresh sage and incense fill the small space with a sweet smoke.

Glorious windows let in shafts of buttery light.

Green plants in painted pots hang in the windows.

Oriental, intricate, threadbare carpets coat the wooden floor.

Glass bottles of deep reds and blues sit atop wooden shelves labeled with every medicinal herb.

Dusty stacks of books grow from the floor like tree trunks.

The ceiling was the purest glass ever conceived.

A dome of crystal made to gaze at the heavens.

Supported by walls of glistening gold, laden with intricate windows their glass painted whimsically.

Supple arches engraved with reliefs of leaves and vines.

A giant telescope dominates the space.

Starlight gleaming on its brass skin.

Maps of the cosmos litter the stone floor.

A long, crimson rug leads to the throne.

Gilded with golden threads that catch the firelight.

Corinthian columns dripped from the stone archways like wax from the intricate candelabras.

Statues of angels flanked by glistening fountains.

Mosaics of pearls, sapphires and rubies shine in the walls.

Velvet drapes hang from the ceiling.

A crown of the heaviest gold.
