The Darkness

The black cloud loomed over me. No one else could see it, yet it caused the bones in my body to scream in agony, and my blood to curdle. It was cold, freezing. It froze everything in its sight. I felt as if it came for vengeance. It screamed like nails scraping slowly down a chalk board, as it sucked the life from my soul. Its icy fingers gripped my heart, and then... my eyes opened to the light of day.
