Monsters and ghosts and zombie's OH MY!
When I was a child I was terrified of monsters in my closet and in the attic. Every night I would make my mom check my closet and put a piece of tape over the attic door. Neither of those things would stop a monster, they just made me feel better! Now those fears seem very impractical. There isn’t even a way to get out of the attic from the inside, the door only opens from the outside. So a monster couldn’t be in there. What made the difference between then and now is that then I was more naïve and more worried. Now, I know what can and can’t happen, and what’s realistic and not realistic. Monsters don’t even exist so there couldn’t have been any in my closet! I still have fears, they’re just common realistic fears. And all my fears have been toned down throughout the years. Now the only monsters I’m scared of are my parents when I make them angry!
