My Chemical Romance is an American punk-rock band formed in 2001 after the occurrence of 9/11.  The band consisted of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Lero, bassist Mikey Way and keyboardist James Dewees. The Black Parade is the third album by MCR, after I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.
This was album released October 24, 2006 with four hit singles leading out of it,  "Welcome to the Black Parade", "Famous Last Words", "I Don't Love You", and "Teenagers". The album starts off slow and melodic with the song, “The End” and reminds me in a way of a musical in the way they project their voice. It takes a turn to a rock track on just the second song featuring, “Dead!” The next two songs kick in a deeper harder tune to the album with, “This is How I Disappear” and “The Sharpest Lives.” The next song is the anthem of this album, “Welcome to the Black Parade” and has a combination of slow melodic, fast pace punk-rock, and amazing guitar solos. It’s one of the most well known songs by My Chemical Romance.
This band most certainly makes it point through their lyrics. Gerard Way takes each lyric and masterfully tells a story. Each song expresses something new to feel and everyone can relate in some way. This band is moving, yet at the same time makes you want to dance.
