“Dear Mama”


Tupac Shakur was one of the biggest rappers during the 90's. After a shooting in 96' Tupac died of multiple gun shot wounds. Since, Death Row Records has dropped more of Tupac's unreleased c.d.'s. In my opinion one of his best songs was “Dear Mama”. I love his reason for writing this song.

This song was to thank his mother for all that he put her through. It was released on his album ‘Me Against The World” on April 1, 1995. The song was number one on billboards pop charts. It fueled the album to go double platinum in only seven months. In my eyes Tupac is still one of the best rappers of all time.
