“Dead Poets Society” is a film directed by Peter Weir about an English teacher (Robin Williams) inspiring his students through poetry.

The story takes place at a Prep school in New England where a new English teacher comes to fill in. Through his unorthodox  methods of teaching, he gets through to the students like no other teacher has before.  He challenges them to think freely and not conform to the pressures of society. The film reveals the powerful message of being your self and displays the beauty of the written word.

This movie allows you to step back for a moment to consider what is really important in this life. Is it about fitting in and taking the path most often traveled or is it about discovering who you are and who you are ment to be. "Dead Poets Society" illustrates this struggle faced by everyone.
